his first name is always...

I married Mr. Right. Most of the time he is, anyhow. Sometimes it can be annoying, but most of the time it rocks. I love being able to ask him something and he just knows. Honestly- MOST of the time it's a good thing. Today though... I'm living a perfect example of the annoying side of his gift.

The Dr. recommended flu shots for everyone (except new baby R) to keep safe as possible this winter. Ok- I've been getting them for years now since I've been pregnant or with newborn... so I'm ready and write myself a note to go do it. Then Mr. right proceeds to tell me he won't be getting a flu shot. Since he's exposed to all kinds of stuff at work (and has a killer immune system- by the way) he feels it could actually get him sick as a result of the shot- something he doesn't want. I roll my eyes and figure this is one of his crazy ideas- though I know all the guys at his work do NOT get the flu shot.

So anyhow, last Tuesday Miss E and I both got our shots. Sore arms, check. matching bandaids, check. No biggie- we're done and now Miss R is more protected than ever. Thursday evening my throat was a bit sore- nothing major though- I'd just been talking a lot that day. Friday morning I woke up sick... and now (Saturday afternoon) I'm still getting worse. Achy all over, congested, major swollen glands, sore throat... a cold deluxe. In fact- this is the worst cold I've had in YEARS.

What does Mr. Right have to say? Well he's very sorry I'm so sick- but to be fair he did warn me that this might happen if I got the flu shot. How did he know????? (sigh) Here's hoping I start getting better soon...
